Whitney Morreau Zulu

Motivated by her faith and a deep love for community transformation, Whitney founded Impact One Initiative in 2013. Holding a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia and extensive experience across African contexts, she leads the organization’s program design, development, and evaluation. Whitney is also the key voice behind Impact One’s vision—sharing it with new team members, partners, and supporters.
Although her leadership role includes many responsibilities, her favorite moments remain unchanged from the early days—training school leaders to reach their full potential and singing silly songs with the children she serves.
Precious Nkandu Lumpa

Precious joined Impact One in 2018 and now provides leadership in management, mentorship, and business practices for partner schools while overseeing the organization’s growing team. She holds a double major in Library and Information Science and Economics from the University of Zambia and is currently pursuing an MBA at Heriot-Watt University.
Beyond her role at Impact One, Precious is passionate about women’s empowerment. While at university, she founded a nonprofit that supports female entrepreneurs—a mission she continues today. She also holds a professional qualification in consulting. Precious loves to help people find their passions and make them realities.
Chibwe Mwelwa

Chibwe began his journey with Impact One in 2019 as an intern and has since become an integral part of the education team. He leads the organization’s efforts to mentor teachers in literacy, interactive learning, and critical thinking, while also managing library operations and procedures.
A graduate of the University of Zambia with degrees in Library and Information Science and Sociology, Chibwe brings curiosity, creativity, and a heart for community development to everything he does. He loves games, problem-solving, and inspiring young people to grow in confidence and character. Most days you will find him busy moving from school to school.
Rebecca Vumisah

Rebecca first joined Impact One as a volunteer in 2021, and her dedication quickly earned her a full-time position the following year. Over time, she has provided leadership in various areas of the organization and now serves as an Education Mentor, guiding schools in implementing the literacy program. Known as our lead “letter-sound expert,” she loves helping teachers make learning engaging and joyful.
As a graduate of the University of Zambia with a diploma in Journalism and Public Relations, Rebecca previously worked in the media before shifting to community education. She holds a certificate in counseling, is a certified Trainer of Trainers with Helping Without Hurting Africa, and hopes to pursue further studies in Community Development. As a proud product of a community school, Rebecca is deeply committed to helping others like her succeed.
Andrew Changwe

Andrew joined Impact One full-time in 2023 after serving as a dedicated volunteer. With a Bachelor of Education from Zambian Open University and several years of classroom experience, he brings strong teaching expertise to his role as an Education Mentor, where he coaches teachers in effective classroom practices and continuous growth.
Andrew’s love for learning extends beyond the classroom—he is a gifted guitarist and regularly leads worship during Impact One gatherings. He has received a diploma in Theology from Rhema Bible Training College and has also completed the Helping Without Hurting Africa training where he is certified to train others in holistic community development. As a deep critical thinker, Andrew is always asking questions to help us do our best work as a team!
Alice Mvula

Alice joined Impact One in 2023 and manages all library activities at our Center. A graduate of Mongu Catholic College of Education with a Diploma in Primary Education, Alice brings creativity, energy, and joy to the team. Her child-like nature makes every library visit fun and engaging for students. Through her work, many teachers are learning from her creative strategies on how to make lessons hands-on and enjoyable.
Alice is also a certified Helping Without Hurting Africa trainer in holistic community development, which deepens her understanding of how to nurture both the minds and hearts of people, especially children. Her innovative spirit and eagerness to learn add color and vibrancy to everything we do at Impact One.
Alex Chipango

Alex’s journey with Impact One began in 2018 when he was one of the first children to visit our new library—right outside his home. Over the years, Alex grew from participant to volunteer to full-time staff member. Today, as Library Assistant, he brings energy, creativity, and joy to every library session with our partner schools.
Known for his enthusiasm and sense of fun, Alex also helps organize games during training events, ensuring teachers stay active and engaged. As an older brother, he takes pride in setting a positive example—both for his siblings and for the many children who walk through our gates.
Joseph Zulu

Joseph joined Impact One in early 2025 and provides leadership in management and mentorship practices for our partner schools. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Zambia and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration at Bharat University in India.
Joseph brings a strategic and analytical lens to the team, helping strengthen our partnerships with schools through thoughtful planning and meaningful engagement. His warm personality, humor, and ability to connect with others make him a natural relationship builder. In just a few months, he has fostered strong bonds with school directors and teachers, deepening the relational foundation of our collaborations.
Nanjeke Muuka

Nanjeke joined Impact One in 2024 and leads both internal and external communications. With a Degree in Environmental Education from the University of Zambia, and currently pursuing an MBA in Digital Marketing and Strategic Planning, she brings a blend of creativity, strategy, and storytelling to the team.
Through her writing, she captures and communicates the heart of Impact One’s mission—bringing our vision to life by sharing the real stories of the lives we impact. In a world where our work spans so many areas, Nanjeke helps make it all visible and meaningful, ensuring that every story reflects the hope and transformation happening in our communities.
While capturing stories, she encourages each child, teacher, and school leader to continue pursuing God’s purposes for their lives.
Mathews Musonda

Mathews joined Impact One in early 2025. With a Diploma in Computer Science with Education from Evelyne Hone College, and certifications in CISCO and DHIS2, Mathews brings a deep passion for technology and a strong commitment to supporting digital learning.
He manages all technology-related systems at our partner schools and provides hands-on support to teachers as they deliver Integrated Computer Technology Studies (ICTs). His patience and skill in simplifying complex tech concepts have made him a trusted go-to resource for teachers. Mathews’s love for innovation and continuous learning strengthens our efforts to integrate technology effectively in education.
