FAQ

  • Our Library and Resource Center is located in Ng’ombe Compound of Lusaka, Zambia. This is our primary catchment area for our work. We also have an office location in the U.S. to facilitate our fundraising and administrative work. If you’d like to visit us at either location, reach out and we will give you directions.

  • In Zambia, a community school is a school that is initiated, owned, and managed by the local community, rather than by the government or a private institution. These schools are usually established to provide access to education in areas where government schools are not available or are insufficient to meet local demand. They are managed by a school committee, provide minimal stipends for their teachers, and rely on community support for their finances. They follow the national Zambian curriculum and students can progress to higher levels of education.

  • If you are based in Ng’ombe Compound and interested in joining the work we do, you must first complete an interest form. At this point, we are accepting applications of interest but do not have an estimated start date for the interview and selection process.
